Conditions of eligibility for social leasing

However, the system provides only 25,000 vehicles for the year 2024.

The minister assured that the producers, in particular the group StellantisThey are willing to strengthen this system making more vehicles available, provided that the French show greater interest.

In light of 2025, the government aims to significantly increase the number of vehicles that benefit from this electric leasing offer, aiming for a total of 50,000 cars.

How does the social lease contract work?

Leasing can be fixed with or without purchase option. If you want to buy the vehicle at the end of the contract, you will have to make it the owner by purchasing its residual value.

This device covers both new electric cars and used cars, the first registration dates back to less than 3 and a half (consult our electric models).

In addition, it extends to thermal vehicles that have undergone a transformation into an electric vehicle, adding fuel batteries or cells, within three and a half years before rental.

For the rental of a new model:

• The car must reach the minimum environmental score,

• Its weight must be lower than or equal to 2,400 kg.

By filling out a form on this site, you will receive information on the launch of the pre -registry service on the device.

Subsequently, when you register, you will be invited to provide details such as the reference tax income and the number of kilometers traveled every year on a professional basis.

Once the admissibility is confirmed, the network of approved rental companies will take the place to satisfy the request and you can directly conclude the contract with the rental company.

What concretely contains the leasing contract? 

The leasing contract has a minimum duration of 3 years, renewable once, with the flexibility to choose between an option to buy or not.

You can travel at least 12,000 km per year without further financial concerns, thus benefiting from flexibility suitable for your travel needs.

The monthly rents, generally less than € 100, may vary up to € 150 for family models, excluding options such as maintenance and car insurance.

Be informed transparently on the estimated date of receipt of the vehicle, a crucial element included in the contract.

In case of late delivery that exceed 14 days, it benefits from the freedom to stop the contract without any financial impact.

The contract incorporates a specific clause that allows you to stop free of charge in case of death, disability or loss of work, with possibly minimal restoration costs.
